10 Things That I KNOW Are True...

Before I go into what this post is really about, I want to tell you all about the inspiration behind it.  I was watching a TED Talk by Sarah Kay.  If you don't know about TED Talks, then head on over to Ted.com and check them out.  Great stuff... AWESOME stuff.... What are you waiting for?!?!?  Go check it out!!!

Okay...  Did you do it?  Not yet?  You want to finish reading this post first?  All right...  Then I'll cut to the chase.  In this talk, Sarah Kay mentions something about making lists to help her students to determine what they can write about.  One of those lists is "10 things that I know are true."

So...  Here are my 10 things... (With a little commentary when appropriate.)

1) My wife (aka The Pretty One) is AH...MAY...ZING!!!!

She just is.  She sets her sights on something and pretty soon she has it.

2) Kid #1, Kid #2, and Kid #3 are equally amazing

Nuff said

3) I love my family with ALL that I am.

4) I am a Son of God and Jesus Christ is my Savior and Elder Brother.

5) The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the Book of Mormon are true.

6) I am NOT a perfect teacher, but I am pretty darn good at teaching.

7) I am an insecure person.

You are probably thinking... Yeah, right... You write all this crazy stuff on your blog...  And you would be justified in thinking that.  But, here's the thing... I am WEIRD.  I am very comfortable in my own weirdness on my own, but I feel like most people aren't and that makes me less comfortable with my weirdness in public and even with my friends.  (As I type this, my brain is saying, "Stop, they are going to think you are Super weird guy and never read your blog again!!!")

So.... (Awkward).... Next thing....

8) I can't think of anything for #8, so we'll just move on to #9.

9) Life is about overcoming challenges and difficulties and also about growing your soul and reaching for (and catching) your dreams.

10) You don't have to be rich to be happy... Life can be AWESOME no matter what you have to deal with...  Just believe....
